Do you use digital or traditional film?
I made the switch to a completely digital darkroom about three years ago and have never regretted it. Today's technology dramatically increases my ability to capture and create truly unique and high quality images.
What is your style?
I specialize in natural light photography with a photojournalistic flair. I prefer to use very few props (or none at all) and focus on the expressions and gestures of the person or group of people. After your session, I look through the images and apply artistic elements if appropriate. Some images are beautiful in black and white; some call out for extreme color. Each image has its own character and I treat every photograph as an individual work of art. If you prefer a specific style or color treatment we can talk about that in the pre-session consultation.
How are the sessions structured?
Prior to the session we will go over clothing choices, locations and additional details. A standard session will last between one and two hours starting with a few minutes to get acquainted and then lots of time to have fun. I will guide us towards certain locations and suggest poses, as well as follow the lead of your children to capture their natural movements.
When can we see our photographs?
A final set of edited, optimized images will be available within two weeks of the session. The images will be posted to an online gallery for 60 days to allow you to review and select your favorites for display on your wall or in a custom album. You may also schedule a viewing session to discuss print options, cropping alternatives and border styles.
How does the print credit work?
The session fees include a print credit that can be used towards the purchase of prints and albums or a CD with low-res versions of your final session images. For example, if you are ordering the images from a Standard Portrait session, you will already have $100 credit to apply towards your final print order or custom album selection. The Day Tripper session fee includes a $300 print credit.
How long does it take before we get our order?
I put my best into every session to ensure that your prints and albums exceed your expectations. Your final prints will be available within three weeks of your order and receipt of final payment. All album orders will be completed within six weeks of receipt of final payment and approval of layout.
